Job Title: Digital Technologies Lead

Location: London, UK

This role is a Strategic Digital Technology (DT) Leader role, driving change and Digital Transformation for North America. The role will be London based with up to 40% travel (to US). The role partners with Global and Regional/Functional Segment leaders and their teams to define the segment Digital Strategy and own the portfolio of high business value change initiatives within North America. This role will also drive Global Initiatives that have North America scope included. It helps to drive speed and focus through building mutual partnerships across the Digital Technology functions and influencing key stakeholders across the segment. It is accountable for all Digital Technologies deliveries within North America.

As the Digital Technologies Lead, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the strategic digital transformation efforts within the Mars Food business. This position places you at the heart of innovation, where you will work hand-in-hand with both global and regional leadership teams to craft and execute digital strategies that have a profound impact on the business. Your efforts will directly influence the success and growth of renowned product portfolios, including Ben’s Original, Seeds of Change, and TastyBite, among others.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 10 years working in a Digital Technology related role, depending on scale of the role
  • Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship including business leaders, DT personnel and project leaders
  • Strong Story Telling Skills-Excellent communication Skills
  • Deep understanding of business drivers / processes and ability to relate segment priorities to associated technology
  • Ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff
  • Learning agility and desire to learn new technology and business
  • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills
  • Experience working across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in some of the following three areas: Project delivery, Program
  • Management, Senior Management exposure
  • Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority
  • Previous CPG Experience a bonus

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Segment Alignment: Defines & owns the Digital Technologies strategy within the context of North America. Partnering closely with the North America Food & Nutrition Leadership Team
  • Disrupt with Digital: Brings to life within the segment, business value delivery through digital capabilities
  • Digital Mindset: Drives the usage of Mars Digital Technologies and underlying methodologies including usage of test & learn approach, user centricity, data & analytics and automation. Drives scale and harmonization of technologies where applicable
  • External Perspective: Brings the "outside-In" by maintaining an external network of digital professionals to deliver value faster. Contributes to build Mars Digital branding externally.
  • Strategy Delivery: Accountable and acts as escalation point for North America Digital Technologies strategy delivery (on time, in scope, on budget)
  • Business Transformation: Organize and deliver multi-year, large scale programs to deliver efficiency, growth or people engagement.
  • Capability Adoption: Drives the continuous adoption of Digital & Technologies capabilities and competencies within North America
  • Rationalization: Continuously challenge the status quo to drive opportunities to standardize and rationalize IT Landscape.
  • Budget: co-accountable with Mars Digital Technologies Sales & Finance (S&F) for Total DT Costs for North America and ensures to achieve Business Targets
  • Service: Monitors quality of Digital Technologies service provided to segment/geography and acts as point of escalation when necessary
