As the Capability and Transformation Director within our Connected Commerce team, you will play a pivotal role in leading our skills and capability framework. You will partner with our markets to drive vision and purpose, support organizational design recommendations and spearhead upskilling and training initiatives through our Mars University team. Additionally, you will shape our career planning program for digital associates, ensuring they have long and fulfilling careers with Mars.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Lead the fact-based framework built for skills and capabilities as outputs to shape the contract to co-create the solve and growth levers with each market. Leading the charge for the connected Commerce team to compliment a whole Demand Team strategic offering,

  • Measure progress, gaps and escalate further asks for help to help upskill programme,

  • Develop a comprehensive enterprise pillar view of skills and capabilities.

Career Pathing

  • Design and implement comprehensive career pathing frameworks for various roles within the organization,

  • Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify key competencies and skills required for advancement in each career path,

  • Promote career pathing programs across the organization through various communication channels,

  • Advocate for employees’ career development needs within the HR team and the broader organization."

Organisational design

  • Devise Connected Commerce framework for org design support for all markets, based on skills and Capabilities and size of organisation in partnership with HR.

Best in Class Ambassador

  • Use the We Grow tool to foster employee development by integrating enterprise standards and gamification. Deploy ambassadors to drive engagement and excitement,

  • Partner with DT and DA teams to Integrate Technology: Align We Grow with organizational workflows,

  • Gamification: Implement points, badges, leaderboards, and challenges to make learning interactive,

  • Ambassador Program: Engage and train ambassadors to champion the tool,

  • Create Buzz: Launch marketing campaigns and events to promote the tool,

  • Monitor & Optimize: Track engagement metrics and refine strategies for continuous improvement

Skills and Capabilities required:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading process and structure in a project management capacity,

  • Good understanding of Digital and commerce, having worked with agencies and e-commerce teams in the US & EU. Background with proven track record in influencing indirect cross-functional teams,

  • Experience in HR preferred,

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across different time zones,

  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects on a global scale.
