Role Title: Demand Finance Business Partner
Location: Sydney, NSW
Hours: Full-time, hybrid working
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer, Mars Food & Nutrition

We’re on the lookout for a Demand Business Partner to join our Finance team and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Strategic Revenue Management (SRM). You’ll be the critical connector between numbers and brand strategy, translating insights into action and enabling our teams to make bold, informed decisions.

As part of our iconic Food & Nutrition segment, you’ll partner with some of Australia’s most loved brands, helping drive strategy, innovation, and value creation that delights millions of consumers every day. This is more than just a finance role - it’s an opportunity to shape the future of our food & nutrition portfolio by driving growth, unlocking efficiencies, and empowering innovation.

What you’ll do:

  • Be a true business partner for key Mars Food & Nutrition portfolios and customers – shaping customer and brand strategies and supporting the delivery of operational and 3-year value creation plans, while standardising and scaling winning approaches.

  • Drive strategic decision-making by understanding market dynamics, competitive trends, and consumer behaviour to uncover opportunities.

  • Champion commercial insight by performing ROI analysis, supporting promotional effectiveness, and partnering with Strategic Revenue Management to optimize pricing and portfolio mix.

  • Lead impactful projects - from major product launches to portfolio transformation initiatives, and ensure robust post-implementation reviews.

  • Fuel a value-creation mindset across cross-functional teams through digital tools, insightful reporting, and commercial acumen.

  • Upskill and inspire Sales & Marketing stakeholders by enhancing financial literacy and encouraging use of Mars innovation toolkits for disruptive innovation with strong financial evaluation and storytelling.

Your unique ingredients:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years (for T2 level) or 7+ years of broad financial experience, including planning, forecasting, and commercial business partnering.

  • A passion for driving performance through data-led insights and strategy.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate numbers into strategic narratives.

  • Experience working cross-functionally—particularly in partnership with Marketing, Sales, or Category teams.

  • A proactive mindset, always seeking ways to simplify, improve, and add value.

Why you’ll love working for Mars:

  • Purpose: Help craft beloved brands with a legacy of over 100 years of local manufacturing making products that people and pets will love all while helping to build a more sustainable future.

  • People: A culture that values your contributions, fosters leadership, and recognises the impact you make. Your work truly matters here.

  • Development: Shape your career with personalised development and real opportunities to grow from day one.

  • Enjoy a team and business environment that is invested in helping you manage and grow your energy for work and life.
