The Senior Enterprise PMO digital lead is a critical role within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) transformation program at Mars Inc. This program will transform our end to end PLM processes, data models and system capabilities to drive growth and efficiencies across our global business.

This role will be responsible for building and maintaining an effective operating model across the program, orchestrating the decision making drumbeat and driving best in class stakeholder engagement and senior sponsor through comms and forums. This role will report into the Digital R&D Senior Director, and be part of a program team of project managers, process owners, data leads across the enterprise and business segments.

Key Responsibilities

PLM PMO Operating Model:

  • Create and support a robust governance PMO process in accordance with relevant industry best practice (Portfolio, Program and Project Management). ​
  • Oversees the PLM program plan through all workstreams (cPLM, data, process, tech) and drives compliance with best practice via value added oversight, including but not limited to: program/project reviews, status tracking, risk/issue escalation, dependency mapping, process adherence, etc.​
  • Line manage project manager resources.

Orchestration of decision drumbeat ​

  • Lead and facilitate steering meetings, consolidating critical decisions across streams (e.g., system, data, process), maintains view on all risks, raises roadblocks proactively and develops hypothesis solutions​. Facilitate / lead meetings with senior stakeholders to align on outputs, ​
  • Facilitates the central program agenda (Weekly leadership team update, Steering Groups for PLM, functional VP updates) and coordinates the associated logistics (meeting invites and calendars, agenda in collaboration with key stakeholders, pre-reads and minutes).​
  • Works with the financial Co-Pilot to monitor the program budget and consolidates the overall total program and per program spend to targets​

Effective Stakeholder Engagement strategy & key sponsor monitoring for PLM ​

  • Creates and maintain an effective Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and creates the Communication Plan with the Change Manager​
  • Ongoing senior stakeholder engagement (e.g., leadership forums), Develop engagement materials (e.g. powerpoints, email briefings) and storylines for senior stakeholders. Plans flight path and required pre wires to facilitate decisions” – e.g., who needs to be engaged before steering meetings

Financial budget Submission

  • Overall orchestration of all future enterprise funding submissions for the PLM program, supported the finance co-pilot and segment leads. This will also be supported by the PLM program director(s).

Key Skills and Experiences?

  • We are looking for an experienced PMO who will provide PMO and project management expertise, and provide oversight to a distributed group of regional deployment organisations comprised of both internal and external resources (across multiple 3rd parties).
  • We are looking for a strong proactive orchestrator who has experience of co-ordinating a PMO function in a complex x/segment business environment.
  • We require a strong communicator, who has experience of communicating at different levels of an organisation, working in a global setting.
  • We are looking for a candidate who has line management experience.
  • Ideally, the candidate will have experience of working in digital programs/projects in the R&D function within the CPG industry. In addition, ideally the successful candidate will have experience of using their expertise and breadth of experience to bring external perspective to a program, as well as show examples of injecting novel approaches to add value.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all locations listed within the job posting:USD 89,091.00 - USD 122,500.00
