About the role: Join Mars as the Category Vision & Perfect Store Lead, within the Mars Petcare segment, where we make life better for pets and their owners.

Reporting to the Category Leadership Director, the newly created Category Vision & Perfect Store Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class category leadership that drives sustainable growth and contributes consistently to NSV performance. You’ll shape and execute the Category Vision, translating global strategy into locally relevant, actionable plans, while leading the Perfect Store agenda and using market diagnostics to uncover growth opportunities across retailers and channels.

Working cross-functionally and in close partnership with strategic customers, you’ll turn deep category and shopper insight into impactful growth plans, strengthen customer engagement, and position Mars as a trusted category leader both internally and externally.

Reporting to: Category Leadership Director

How you’ll do:

  • Shape the future of the category. Lead and localise the Category Vision to deliver best-in-class category leadership, directly influencing growth, NSV targets, and long-term strategic direction.

  • Turn insight into commercial impact. Own market diagnostics and performance analysis across retailers and channels, translating shopper, competitive, and market data into actionable growth strategies that drive measurable sales results.

  • Build powerful growth partnerships. Develop customer-centric growth plans and collaborate closely with key retail partners to unlock mutual growth opportunities and strengthen strategic relationships.

  • Lead cross-functional influence at scale. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Insights teams to deliver integrated customer solutions—gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and broad commercial decision-making.

  • Champion execution excellence. Drive the Perfect Store agenda and ensure category initiatives land effectively in market, sharpening your ability to convert strategy into flawless execution.

  • Accelerate your strategic leadership career. Support senior category leadership, contribute to resource and priority setting, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making – in their role you’ll be leveraging and building the strategic, analytical, and influencing skills essential for your leadership career.


Your Unique Ingredients:

  • FMCG Experience in category & or customer management in a major grocery retailer is essential.

  • Proactive, driven & curious candidate who wants to learn & grow

  • Excellent influencer and communicator who can build deep customer partnerships and internal stakeholder relationships.

  • Highly analytical with an ability to drive and translate insights into relevant strategies via effective storytelling.

  • Strong Circana & Quantium/Synergy analytical skills
