Job Purpose/Overview:
The Business Operations Analyst is the primary expert in the financial and operational processes for the Mars Petcare business on Amazon. This associate serves as the go-to expert on our financial management tools, helping manage our trade budget and clearing deductions in a timely manner to meet our financial objectives. This associate will also be tasked with monitoring some of the core metrics associated new item launches, item transitions and Subscribe & Save.
This role is based in Franklin, TN with regular in-office collaboration expected. Flexibility is a key enabler—empowering associates to make choices that support both business outcomes and personal needs, including occasional remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing our deductions and financial tracking tools: Managing our budget in internal reporting tools ensuring our investments are accurately represented. Coding and clearing our deductions, ensuring our outstanding balance stays within compliance.
- Reporting to internal stakeholders: Owning monthly budget review with sales team and period trade review with Sales Finance Manager.
- Owning our nonworking spend research: Researching pricing errors, shortages, late payments and post-audits to determine if they’re valid and working closely with the sales team to manage for resolution.
- Preparing our new items for sale on Amazon: Working closely with our supply partners and digital merchandizer to set up new items in Amazon’s catalog and updating our internal authorization list
- Owning day-to-day efforts to keep our Amazon business on track: Resolving Andon Cords, updating and maintaining Amazon Item List
Context and Scope:
Focused on financial and operational fundamentals – Compass management, nonworking spend research, deduction and budget management. The Business Operations Analyst will work closely with the Sr. Sales Analyst as well as the Customer Managers to ensure the Amazon budget is tracked in a timely and accurate manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ year’s proficient Excel and analytics experience
- Analytics knowledge
- Experience with Excel
- Previous experience within 3rd party/company in supply chain/logistics or financial management would be preferred.
