To help us drive our strategic financial agenda and secure sustainable growth across Australia and New Zealand, we are looking for a forward-thinking, highly strategic ANZ Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Manager to join our team in Melbourne.
As the ANZ FP&A Senior Manager, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the business. Partnering closely with our CFO, the ANZ Leadership Team, and our Global FP&A team, you will translate business strategy into execution, support data-driven resource allocation, and drive long-term value creation.
This is a highly visible role where you won't just track the numbers—you will lead enterprise-wide planning, performance management, and advanced analytics to optimize resource allocation, manage risks, and deliver outstanding sustainable growth and earnings outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: How you will make an impact
- Lead Enterprise Planning: Drive robust performance management through the annual operating plan (AOP), long-range strategic plans, forecasting, budgeting, and monthly performance reviews.
- Be a Strategic Partner: Provide strategic financial leadership and business partnering to the CFO and Leadership Team, offering constructive challenge and strong decision support.
- Deliver Actionable Insights: Run advanced financial analytics to uncover growth opportunities, performance improvement initiatives, and business-wide value creation.
- Optimize Resource Allocation: Evaluate opportunities, risks, and returns to guide strategic investment decisions that maximize long-term business outcomes.
- Own Performance Visibility: Manage reporting and performance tracking, delivering clear analysis of results and variances to enable agile, timely business actions.
- Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate closely across demand and supply functions to develop aligned forecasts, operating plans, and integrated performance insights.
- Drive Cash & Earnings Improvements: Lead cash and earnings initiatives, utilizing financial modelling to track delivery against targets and support key strategic projects.
- Shape FP&A Capability: Leverage data, modern technology, and digital tools to strengthen decision-making capabilities and support sustainable growth.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a commercially sharp and analytically rigorous finance leader who thrives in bringing clarity to ambiguity. To be successful in this role, you should bring:
- Experience: longstanding and robust business planning and forecasting experience. Experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is highly valued.
- Commercial Acumen: Enterprise-wide commercial acumen, with a proven ability to link business strategy, operational performance, and financial outcomes.
- Analytical Capability: Exceptional analytical skills, with a track record of converting complex, unstructured business challenges into concise insights and compelling recommendations for senior leaders.
- Strategic Foresight: The ability to anticipate future risks, market trends, and opportunities to shape business performance.
- Execution & Drive: A track record of converting operational initiatives into measurable financial impact through robust KPI frameworks and performance tracking.
- Education: CA / CPA qualified and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
