Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations relating to both Finished Goods (FG) and Raw Materials (RM). The role ensures efficient inventory management, accurate stock control, timely receipt and dispatch of products, compliance with safety standards, and optimal utilization of warehouse resources to support business objectives and customer service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
Supervise daily warehouse activities involving receipt, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control of finished goods and raw materials.
Ensure timely receiving and put-away of raw materials in designated storage locations.
Monitor the movement, storage, and dispatch of finished goods to ensure order fulfillment according to customer requirements.
Maintain optimal stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable.
Ensure proper housekeeping and warehouse organization to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, Transport, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Monitor warehouse productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory transactions are accurately captured in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and SAP.
Conduct regular cycle counts and support monthly, quarterly, and annual stock counts.
Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.
Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, and expired inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
Ensure proper stock reconciliation between physical inventory and system records.
Team Leadership
Supervise warehouse operators, forklift drivers, inventory clerks, and other warehouse personnel.
Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance against established KPIs.
Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to improve employee performance and capability.
Conduct performance evaluations and enforce company policies and procedures.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of operational excellence.
Customer Service & Stakeholder Management
Ensure customer orders are processed and dispatched accurately and on time.
Resolve operational issues impacting service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and operational records.
Prepare operational reports and provide performance updates to management.
Safety, Security & Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with company Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures.
Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and identify corrective actions for potential hazards.
Enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all warehouse personnel and visitors.
Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet movers.
Investigate warehouse incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure warehouse security controls are maintained to prevent theft, pilferage, damage, and unauthorized access.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Maintain accurate records required for operational, regulatory, and compliance purposes.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Someone with:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 4-6 years warehouse operations experience within an FMCG manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing warehouse teams.
Proven experience handling both Finished Goods and Raw Material.
Demonstrated experience in inventory control, stock reconciliation, and warehouse KPI management.
Experience working with SAP ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
Knowledge of FMCG warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and supply chain best practices.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in SAP ERP (Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Goods Movement transactions).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for operational presentations and business reviews.
Familiarity with RF Scanner functionality and barcode scanning processes.
Ability to analyze inventory data and generate meaningful operational insights.
