In line with this journey, we are looking for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for our new warehouse location on the Maasvlakte. Your main responsibility is to manage, coach and guide the warehouse employees. This is a unique opportunity for a person who sees it as a challenge to make this new location a great success.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the site and the customer(s);
• Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
• Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs;
• Support management with resource planning and management e.g. implement agreed processes to review performance, monitor absence and sickness and address issues within clear guidelines;
• Supervise day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (e.g. safety, operational, employee related etc);
• Implement, conduct and coach Coordinators to Performance Dialogues to identify areas for improvement. Respond to or escalate issues / opportunities within clear guidelines. Implement changes that have been approved and update standard operating procedures and training documentation

Who we are looking for

• The ideal candidate has experience in a similar position at a logistics service provider;
• You have experience in guiding and coaching warehouse employees;
• Cross dock / contract logistics experience is a plus;
• You master both Dutch and English tasks at a professional level.
