The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Finance Lead to join our Maersk Central America, Andina & The Caribbean Sea Area (CAC) team to look after Venezuela. In this empowered role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial health, compliance, and supporting business growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Oversee financial reporting, accounting processes (ATR, P2P, OTC), and internal controls for Venezuela, ensuring adherence to Maersk GAAP and local regulations.

• Strategic Partner: Collaborate with business leaders to provide financial insights, support investment decisions, and drive continuous improvement.

• Compliance Champion: Safeguard legal and regulatory compliance for all financial and reporting functions.

• Teamwork: Collaborate with high-performing finance teams across the CAC region.

• Collaboration: Bridge the gap between finance and the business by fostering a collaborative finance ecosystem. Facilitate seamless interaction between finance disciplines and business units, ensuring smooth information flow and process alignment with Maersk's Global Service Centers, tax consultants, and regional teams.

• Transformation: Spearhead the transformation of the finance function, including implementing new financial systems and integrations; and mapping and optimizing financial processes

Who we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience in finance with a proven track record of success.

• Experience leading and motivating finance teams.

• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and local accounting regulations.

• Fluent in English and Spanish

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
