Transformation Analyst (JL3) 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Maersk is seeking a highly analytical and driven Transformation Analyst to support and advance our BBBEE and Transformation agenda. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with BBBEE legislation, supporting verification audits, providing insightful data analysis and reporting, and driving transformation initiatives that contribute to sustainable business growth and regulatory compliance.
Based in Cape Town, this role offers the opportunity to partner with stakeholders across the business and play a key role in strengthening Maersk's transformation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Auditing
Monitor and ensure ongoing adherence to BBBEE legislation, codes, reporting and sector specific requirements.
Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance and identify improvement areas.
Prepare and submit BBBEE compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required.
Strategy & Transformation
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement BBBEE strategies aligned
with organisational goals.
Analyse current initiatives and recommend enhancements to promote economic
empowerment and transformation.
Stay updated on industry trends, sector codes, and best practices.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect, analyse, and interpret data on employment equity, ownership, skills development, and enterprise development.
Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to inform decision-making.
Produce comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work with internal teams (People Operations, Payroll, Finance & Legal) to integrate BBBEE into business processes.
Build relationships with external bodies such as government agencies, industry
associations, and BBBEE verification agencies.
Training, Awareness & Change Management
Promote awareness of BBBEE, Employment Equity and transformation objectives across the organization.
Develop and deliver awareness sessions and guidance materials for managers and
employees.
Support initiatives that foster diversity, inclusion and equitable workplace practices.
Assist in driving transformation-related communication campaigns and engagement
activities.
Administrative & Learning Support
Maintain accurate personnel and training records in accordance with company policies
and compliance requirements.
Provide administrative support for audits, inspections, employee programs and People-
related projects.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Someone with:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in BBBEE compliance, transformation, Employment
Equity, HR Compliance or a related role.
Experience supporting BBBEE verification audits and scorecard management.
Experience within a multinational or matrix organisation.
Advanced Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
Data interpretation, dashboard reporting and trend analysis.
Audit preparation and document management.
Report writing and presentation development.
Excellent planning, organisation and administrative skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
High level of integrity and confidentiality
