Designs, develops, tests, delivers, maintains and improves business applications as a member of a team. The software engineer can works across the full stack or be specialized in e.g. the frontend or the backend - through the entire software development lifecycle. Prioritizes efficient code production by using open-source frameworks and patterns.

Full Stack Engineer (API)

In this Full Stack Engineer role, you will be working on the Integration Platform as part of Maersk’s public API Developer Portal team based in Bangalore. You will develop the core capabilities driving the portal that supports our business platforms exposing APIs for external consumption.

Key Responsibilities

You will be part of a strong engineering team, shaping product and business decisions to help drive digital transformation at one of the largest companies in the world. Your responsibilities include:

· Build, test and run scalable solutions delivering practical solutions and insights to our customers and partners.

· Deeply understand our customer needs and business problems. Apply your knowledge of technologies to deliver enterprise solutions and outcomes for our customers.

· Work with like-minded platform engineering teams to develop the functionality of our future API-Led initiatives.

· Be able to work end-to-end: design, prototype, implement, test and optimise software, alongside others in a talented and highly engaged team of UX designers, business analysts and software engineers.

· Operate in a scrum team with a dedicated product manager, independently directing your time and resources together with other engineers in the team.

· Contribute to the wider engineering community at Maersk, sustaining and constantly improving processes, culture and technical landscape to ensure we are leading global trade in the next century.

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Engineer with a strong emphasis on front-end development, along with back-end and quality engineering expertise. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

· 5+ years of industry experience in software development, preferably in an agile team within a software-intensive industrial company.

· Proven experience building and maintaining customer-facing products with high availability in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

· Strong knowledge of both behavior-driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD).

· Proficiency in front-end and back-end languages, frameworks, and platforms, such as Java, Spring Boot, Vue, Typescript.

· Knowledge about containerized software deployment and tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

· Proficiency in dependency management and build tools like Maven and npm.

· Proficiency in version management tools like git

· Familiarity with web server applications, web protocols, authentication, authorization, and logging mechanisms.

· Experience designing REST APIs

· Knowledge about common software and architectural patterns, such as microservice architecture, modular programming and monoliths and their pros and cons.

· Basic knowledge about how to scale and performance tune websites.

· Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Bruno, and Swagger.

· Expertise in testing UIs for transactional websites across multiple browsers, devices, platforms, and languages, with a focus on automation.

· Proficiency in automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress and Selenium.

· Experience developing test automation scripts using technologies like JSON, XML, and jQuery.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

· Someone who is excited about understanding the logistics domain---no prior experience in logistics required, so long as you are committed to learning!
