Key responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead and manage security and business continuity (SBC) for Maersk's landside operations, including warehouses, depots, and trucking. You will act as the primary contact for all related inquiries, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and external regulations. You will foster and maintain strong relationships to align SBC measures with business objectives and provide regular updates to leadership on business resilience metrics. Additionally, the role involves conducting training, mentoring, and upskilling initiatives to enhance capabilities in security, business continuity management, and crisis management. You will also perform audits to ensure adherence to relevant frameworks, policies, and regulations.

Security: Ensure security measures are implemented, monitored, and maintained in line with corporate policies, PbM, and OTA. Regularly conduct security assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks. Establish and maintain security response and contingency plans across all regional offices and sites. Perform foresight as

sessments to predict and evaluate potential business threats and risks. Oversee the implementation and monitoring of Duty of Care protocols, including travel and relocation safety measures. Support regional efforts to combat illicit cargo and contraband, in alignment with the Special Operations team.

Business Continuity Management: Manage all aspects of the Business Continuity lifecycle, including Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans, and regular testing and updates. Maintain an overview of business continuity options within the region, providing support and advice during disruptions to minimize impact and downtime.

Crisis Management: Implement and maintain the Crisis Management framework for effective response to disruptions. Manage Level 2 crisis incidents, ensuring timely escalation and resolution across all areas except APMT, including ocean operations.

We’re looking for

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in Security Management in Asia Pacific region

  • 5+ years in Business Continuity Management & Crisis Management

  • Good knowledge & proven experience in managing Illicit goods / trafficking matters

  • Industry experience is logistics, supply chain, FMCG or retail is highly preferrable

  • Masters (or advanced degree) in Security or Risk Management, or other related discipline

  • Certification in business continuity management (CBCI, etc.) and Security Management (CPP, TAPA, CSMP, etc.) is advantageous

  • Ability to navigate in a matrix organisation

  • Strong and proven leadership skill

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
