Position The Senior Project Manager is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end solutions within the Terminal Handling Equipment industry, overseeing projects from initial concept through to full execution.

Location Shanghai (Preferred)

Role Description:

  • Bid & Proposal Management: Conduct thorough analysis of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and tender documents to ensure complete understanding of all technical, commercial, and operational requirements. Review and interpret contractual terms and conditions to identify potential risks, obligations, and opportunities for negotiation. Lead the development of high-quality, compelling, and compliant bid responses that align with customer expectations and company standards.
  • Customer Interaction & Negotiation: Represent the company in customer presentations, clarification meetings and contract negotiations to support business development and secure new opportunities.
  • Site Surveying: Conduct site visits to equipment manufacturing yards and ports to assess cargo and site conditions, ensuring precise and effective project planning. Perform inspections of transport vessels and associated equipment (such as jacking and skidding systems or lashing gear), based on the specific requirements of each project.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines and ensure all milestones and deadlines are met through effective planning, coordination, and communication. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a clear focus on project profitability.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to the highest standards by maintaining a presence during all critical phases of the project. Oversee the implementation of site-specific risk assessments, ensuring they are properly conducted, communicated, and followed throughout execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes, including targeting new customers, securing support during bids, and engaging teams throughout project execution. Maintain a high level of engagement with regional counterparts to share best practices, lessons learned, and promote alignment with global standards.
  • Industry Networking: Attend industry exhibitions and events to stay informed on market innovations and trends, while also showcasing the company’s achievements and capabilities.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy Actively contribute to the development and execution of the Go-to-Market plan for the Terminal Handling Equipment vertical.

Desired Experience & Competencies:

  • Extensive technical expertise in the ocean transport of terminal handling equipment (preferably Ship-To-Shore cranes or similar) including in-depth knowledge of loading, discharging, lashing and securing procedures.
  • Strong engineering acumen with a deep understanding of industry standards and requirements for transporting heavy equipment (both new & used)
  • Proven hands-on experience in designing transport solutions, managing tenders and executing complex logistics operations.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with a proactive approach to identifying operational risks and integrating preventive strategies into solution planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and drive decision-making across departments.
  • Skilled communicator, capable of delivering compelling and professional presentations to industry stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin, facilitating seamless interaction with internal teams and external partners across regions.
  • Flexible and willing to travel, both domestically and internationally, in alignment with project requirements and customer engagements.
