Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer

Job Location: Rotterdam Maasvlakte/Remote

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Cisco networking technologies, with a focus on security and industrial switching.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies, including stacking, Virtual Stack, spanning-tree, trunking, SVI, and ACL.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Network Address Translation (NAT) and its implementation in various network environments.
• Utilize Cisco ASA or similar security products to provide network security solutions and maintain a secure infrastructure.
• Possess extensive experience with Fortigate or similar security products within the field of network security.
• Work with OT environments and industrial switching equipment, such as Westermo, Siemens, Moxa, and ProfiNet.
• Understand and implement security measures within a logistics network, including customs perimeter.
• Provide expertise and support in Cisco Wireless LAN technologies, if available.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets the organization's requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Substantial years of experience working with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and protocols.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, with hands-on experience in Cisco ASA, Fortigate and similar security products.
• Experience working in OT environments and industrial switching equipment (Westermo, Siemens, Moxa, ProfiNet).
• Knowledge of security protocols and measures within a logistics network, including customs perimeter.
• Cisco Wireless LAN experience is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
