As part of our SAP TM transformation journey, we are looking for developers who can bring deep technical expertise and help us build scalable, intelligent transport management solutions on S/4HANA.

Team/Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ABAP with proven experience in SAP TM implementations.

As an SAP ABAP developer, you will be responsible to design, develop, test, deliver, maintain and improve business applications. The role involves working across the full stack or be specialized in e.g. the frontend or the backend - through the entire software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyse existing systems, and provide innovative solutions to optimize business operations.

Responsibilities:

• AI first development mindset with knowledge of tools and technologies to develop and deploy at scale.

• Design, develop, and implement solutions with SAP ABAP, adhering to best practices and standards.

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather system and data requirements, perform gap analysis, and provide appropriate solutions.

• Develop enhancements and customizations within SAP TM using ABAP and BOPF frameworks

• Work on TM-specific objects like Forwarding orders, Freight Orders, Freight Units, and Planning documents

• Integrate SAP TM with other modules (e.g., Event Management, Finance) and external systems using APIs and OData services

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring data integrity and system stability.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of scenarios.

• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and end-users during the implementation and post-implementation phases.

• Stay updated with the latest SAP TM releases, advancements, and best practices, and recommend process improvements.

• Document technical specifications, technical unit testing and related artifacts.

What we are looking for:

This role offers flexibility for hybrid work arrangements, depending on business needs and candidate location.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Solid experience as an SAP ABAP developer, with a focus on SAP Transportation Management

• Strong expertise in ABAP, BOPF, Core Data Services and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model)

• Hands-on experience with SAP TM data model and process flows

• Experience in debugging and performance tuning of TM-related programs

• Understanding of TM master data (locations, resources, carriers).

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and integration technologies like OData and APIs

• Knowledge in SAP BTP and SAP Event Management is a plus

• Bonus: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts in logistics optimization and their application in enterprise systems

• Ability to analyse complex business requirements and provide optimal solutions.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Certifications in SAP TM or related technologies are a plus.
