  • Lead and manage the global Reliability team, ensuring integration of the team’s efforts with the global Reliability & Planning Strategy
  • Build and deploy the global reliability strategy to support terminals' overall reliability journey
  • Develop skills and competencies of global and local teams on the usage and deployment of reliability techniques to address current and future asset performance and asset-related safety issues.
  • Lead by example to cultivate a strong safety culture across APM Terminals operations, reinforcing safety as a core value.
  • Lead a technical team of different backgrounds in two different locations (Tangier & Panama). Ensure team full integration and engagement.
  • Develop and deploy the team's overall vision and strategy to align with the global Reliability overall strategy.
  • Lead by example, ensuring compliance with local and global policies & procedures, enforcing safe working practices, and promoting a safe and engaging workplace.
  • Manage team development, areas of improvement, promote team integration, and recognition.
  • Coach and develop teams’ soft skills for better communication, problem-solving, addressing conflicts, and customer service mindset.
  • Monitor and review performance against team KPIs, and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility; Take action to improve performance and to resolve non-compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions.
  • Promotes the delivery of continuous improvement and constant drive towards a higher maturity level of reliability for the terminals in scope.
  • Ensures the development and adoption of best practices and ways of working developed through understanding, learning, and sharing with wider Asset management communities.

We’re looking for - Lean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.

  • Minimum university degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering (or local equivalent).
  • Requires five to 5-8 years’ experience leading a team in asset maintenance and or Reliability proven experience in reliability project management and exposure to project controls.
  • Requires excellent organization skills, including planning, directing, monitoring, and prioritization
  • Able to build, direct, monitor, and redirect team strategy as needed Requires good problem-solving skills, with an ability to define the problem, identify solutions, and select the best solution
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to consider complex and ambiguous situations objectively, considering the causes and implications on business and stakeholders
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and/or Arabic would be a plus.
  • Able to learn global and local Safety, Health, and Environment workplace regulations and limitations
  • Strong knowledge in computer skills and professional programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, CMMS systems)
  • Knowledge in mechanics, electrics, hydraulics, and controls of Container Handling Equipment is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of different maintenance strategies and reliability techniques is preferred.
