Regional Head of MPL Business Development & Solution Design
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Regional Head of MPL Business Development & Solution Design to lead the execution of execution of our MPL (Multi-Purpose Logistics) Long-Term Agreement across the region.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the regional MPL growth strategy, ensuring a high-quality sales pipeline, and enabling successful conversion of complex, multi-regional and multi-modal opportunities. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and Area leadership teams to accelerate growth, strengthen our market position, and deliver profitable customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Regional Growth Strategy: Define and execute the regional MPL growth strategy to achieve annual revenue, gross profit, and volume targets.
- Drive Commercial Performance: Own the regional sales pipeline, improve win rates, and work closely with Sales to accelerate opportunity conversion and profitable growth.
- Lead Solution Design & Pricing: Oversee commercial solution design and pricing for complex, multi-regional and multi-modal customer opportunities, ensuring competitive and profitable outcomes.
- Develop Go-to-Market Excellence: Drive regional go-to-market initiatives, customer targeting, and product positioning in alignment with the global product strategy.
- Provide Market & Business Insight: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and pricing dynamics to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Partner Across the Business: Collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance, and Area leadership to develop annual growth plans, achieve commercial targets, and execute strategic initiatives.
- Lead and Develop Teams: Build a high-performing team by providing clear direction, coaching, and development while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Represent the Business Externally: Support strategic customer engagements and strengthen relationships with key customers and stakeholders across the region.
What We’re Looking For
- Senior commercial, business development, or product leadership experience within Project Logistics, complex logistics, supply chain, or industrial services.
- Proven track record of defining growth strategies and delivering commercial performance across regions, markets, or global networks.
- Strong understanding of product management, value proposition development, lifecycle management, and go-to-market execution.
- Experience translating market opportunities and customer needs into scalable, profitable commercial solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage pipeline performance, pricing dynamics, sales targets, and growth priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders within complex matrix organisations.
- Analytical and structured mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance management.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive practical execution through cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and align diverse stakeholders around a common direction.
- Full professional proficiency in English and preferably another European language.
- Willingness to travel, both internationally and domestically.
