Job Description
At Maersk, we are on an exciting journey to transform our Finance organization and strengthen our Reporting & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) into a world-class engine for value creation, performance management, and strategic insight. As part of this ambition, we are elevating our process management and governance capabilities to ensure that financial reporting and analysis processes are consistent, scalable, and future-ready.
The Reporting & Analysis COE plays a central role in enabling “One Finance” by driving standardization, operational excellence, and high-quality global delivery of processes and support. To accelerate this journey, we are now looking for a Process Governance Manager who will define, govern, and continuously improve our end-to-end processes, empowering operational teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes and contributing to the ongoing transformation of the COE.
We offer:
You will join a COE that is rapidly evolving to become a leading digitized business partner for integrated, end-to-end reporting and analytics. With the foundations successfully established during the initial transition from the frontline, we are now entering our next phase, one focused on strengthening process governance, driving simplification, and embedding consistent ways of working across global teams.
Through your process-focused mindset and analytical expertise, you will play a central role in shaping how our processes are designed, governed, and executed. You will define clear process scopes, identify opportunities to bundle and transition activities into the COE, and establish end-to-end process management with well-defined accountabilities. You will also help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our performance management processes through integration, standardization, and simplification, while leveraging automation and advanced analytics to unlock deeper insights.
Through leading implementation initiatives and partnering closely with Finance colleagues worldwide, you will help elevate COE processes and strengthen the COE as a trusted, fully integrated, and scalable organization that delivers real business impact.
You will join a diverse, high-performing global team with strong exposure to senior stakeholders across segments and regions, offering a steep learning curve and broad opportunities for both professional and personal growth. At Maersk, we are committed to developing our people and creating an environment where your ideas and contributions help shape the future of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Define, roll out, and monitor common process management frameworks and governance standards across the Reporting & Analysis COE
Partner with operational teams to drive process alignment, standardization, and optimization beyond the transition phase
Facilitate identification of initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and value delivery across the COE
Align major functional scoping and process design topics with COE leadership and segment Finance teams
Define process performance metrics, monitor adherence, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance quality and timeliness
Support the Head of Process Governance & Excellence in defining and evolving process governance methodologies, best practices and transformation of COE
Collaborate with stakeholders across COE and Finance frontline/HQ teams to ensure consistent adoption of governance standards and frameworks.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred
6+ years of experience in Finance, transformation, or process excellence roles, ideally including consulting exposure
Strong understanding of Business Finance / FP&A processes within a Corporate and Shared Service / COE environment
Proven track record with governance frameworks, process performance management, and process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
Advanced skills in process taxonomy design, operating model design, and process mapping to enable alignment and optimization
Strong analytical skills to assess process performance, identify gaps, and uncover productivity or cost-saving opportunities
Structured, solution-oriented, and able to translate complex problems into practical, implementable solutions
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills; capable of navigating a global matrix organization
Collaborative, ambitious, and experienced in cross-functional, end-to-end transformation initiatives
Cost-conscious mindset with a passion for improving business and finance processes
Proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI) and solid understanding of Finance data systems
Finance, Shipping and/or Logistics business acumen is an advantage.
