Job Description Summary

  • Document Eligibility check (Certificate of Origin) for KC customer for JP import.

  • Ensure to complete verification of documents against set deadline under customer’s specific SOP.

  • Be responsible for one or more of the following key accountabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check whether all pre-alert documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing list, Product details) and Certificate of Origins are received.

  • Verify pre-alert documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing list, Product details) and Certificate of Origin document whether there are any missing items along with check-list

  • Ensure all required details are fulfilled for those shipping documents, and in case there are any wrong items or description, raise its clarification to relevant desk in timely manner

  • Complete verification of those shipping documents within lead time required by customer and internal deadline

  • Advise the immediate supervisor when it is difficult to meet the deadline, not after the deadline

  • Proactively collaborate external/internal stakeholders to complete the task

  • Ensure compliance with our Code of Conduct and Company's regulations

  • Ensure understanding and implementation on our Value in daily work behaviors

  • Ensure compliance with customer's Standard Operating Procedures

  • Ensure all data is updated correctly in system

  • Maintain good relationship with internal parties and team members

We are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in forwarder or trading company, customs house broker or customs clearance department handling import logistics business.

  • Experience handling import customs clearance in apparel industry more than a year

  • Ability to work with good self-organization, accuracy, and priority even under pressure

  • Good interpersonal & communication skills with external & internal stakeholders

  • Certified local customs expert/Licensed Customs Broker is a big plus

  • Nice to have: Native-level Japanese, and intermediate-level English communication skills (written & oral)

  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel

  • General numeric skills

  • Proactive/independent initiative & job ownership/commitment

  • "Can-do" attitude & willingness to learn and try new things

  • Self-discipline, initiative, responsible and independent in a fast-paced environment

  • A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
