Job Description

Engineering Unit within the Technology Group is accountable for end to end delivery of Service Reliability, Availability, Performance, Cost and Fit for Purpose solutions there by enabling the Platform Operating Model
Job Purpose/summary
Dedicated support engineer who will be responsible for developing and delivering middleware operations service, covering a large volume of servers and many underpinning technologies.
To carry out daily system administration of MW applications and provide second level support for the software applications and/or middleware platform in order to maintain the operational services.
Maintain production systems around application and infrastructure outages
and Respond/Resolve technical support tickets within the agreed SLA.
To participate in the implementation of application and/or middleware deployment, configuration, patching upgrades etc., and to produce and maintain the associated technical documentation.
To carry out technical acceptance testing of new releases and changes to the operational software applications, and participate in the evaluation of the deliverables.
Come up with innovative ideas and deliver Automation which will reduce the TAT or eliminate the recurring manual tasks.
Work with other support/SRE teams to drive improvements to the application landscape.
Implement and maintain monitoring across all the mw applications with right alert response built into it.
Stay on top of all operational issues and track them to closure.
Perform blameless post-mortems and produce RCA document along with risk mitigations
Own risks and their mitigation plan to track them to closure
Develop the culture of documentation to maintain SOPs, post-mortems etc.,
Maintain good business relationship with partnering teams to ensure smooth operation.
Who we are looking for
8+ years of experience in operations role with more weight towards handling middleware apps/platforms.
Should have fundamental experience with middleware technologies like Oracle Fusion MW technologies, Tomcat Apache, WebSphere, IIS, JBoss, Tuxedo, MQ etc.,
Should have good experience in developing automations using technologies like Ansible, Puppet, Shell Scripting etc.,
Good working knowledge with setting up and using monitoring tools.
Built observability solutions with effective dashboards and alert mechanism

Working proactively to learn new technologies
CSI at the core of operating the support process
