Purpose of the Role

To oversee daily health operations in coordination with site operations management; to provide direction, instructions, and comments on health-related concerns; and to assist in the execution of corporate policies and any applicable legal and regulatory obligations. This role is in charge of coordinating with other departments and outside organizations to adhere to rules and standards and making suggestions to enhance health-related issues at the location.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an advisor for the management to look after the people's health

  • Make emergency scenarios, emergency equipment, essential medicines, emergency aid for employees at the site

  • Maintains adequate inventory of first aid supplies; requests additional supplies when needed

  • Maintains required records and documentation including log of injuries and occupational illnesses requiring first aid treatment.

  • Maintains neat and tidy first aid room.

  • Take responsibility for checking contents and BBD (best before date) of all site first aid boxes and reordering products when required on a monthly basis

  • Make plans and organizing health check-ups, occupational disease check-ups, medical assessment of decreased work capacity upon occupational accidents or occupational diseases, convalescence and occupational rehabilitation, offering advices on prevention of occupational diseases; suggesting work positions that are suitable for the employees’ health

  • Delivers Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations

  • Delivers direct care for employees at the site

  • Monitors and maintains a safe, clean and welcoming environment at the worksite ensuring personal and facility appearance meet local regulations

  • Researches health and fitness education topics and creates member educational materials and promotions including nutrition, lifestyle change, special populations

  • Monitor health matters for trends, analysis, and comparisons

  • Cooperate with HSSE team in order to maintenance programs to prevent injuries and work-related health conditions and comply with applicable regulatory requirements

  • Ensure the first-aid waste is classified and treated accordingly

  • Other admin or related health tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Hold a medical or nursing degree recognised by the MoH

  • Be registered with the Medical Council of Cambodia or Cambodian Council of Nurses

  • Have completed training on OSH, and first aid course conducted by the MoLVT's DoSH.
