Job Description
Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics and has been an industry pioneer for over a century. Through innovation and transformation, we are redefining the boundaries of possibility—continuously setting new standards for efficiency, sustainability, and excellence.
We offer
At Maersk, we believe in the power of diversity, collaboration, and continuous learning. With a global footprint and a strong transformation agenda, you will operate in a high-impact, internationally connected role with significant autonomy and exposure.
This role offers the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of a globally critical equipment supply program, shaping leasing strategies, influencing commercial decisions, and driving cost optimization. You will collaborate across functions and geographies while contributing to the evolution of systems, processes, and capabilities supporting the One-Way leasing program.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure reliable and cost-efficient availability of one-way leased equipment aligned with global demand
- Drive cost optimization through leasing strategy, redelivery planning, and proactive supply management
- Negotiate, execute, and manage leasing agreements (One-way, Sub-Lease, PLA) within strategic frameworks
- Identify, onboard, and manage external partners to ensure strong commercial and operational outcomes
- Monitor market dynamics and continuously explore new supply models and partnership opportunities
- Ensure contract governance, documentation accuracy, and compliance across systems
- Maintain high data quality and provide guidance on ownership, exception handling, and operational resolution
- Track and manage KPIs related to leasing volumes, utilization, execution quality, and cost performance
- Influence stakeholders across functions and levels to drive alignment and resolve complex issues
- Contribute to process improvements, digital enablement, and scalable solutions for future readiness
We’re looking for
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in container leasing, equipment management, logistics, or asset-heavy environments
- Deep understanding of fleet economics, leasing structures, and supply-demand dynamics
- Ability to operate independently with high ownership, accountability, and decision-making confidence
- Proven capability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without formal authority
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into practical actions
- Comfortable working in global, matrix organizations with cross-functional collaboration
- High attention to detail with focus on governance, data accuracy, and process discipline
- Curious, adaptable, and open to new tools, systems, and ways of working
- Hands-on approach with a strong delivery orientation
- Fluent in English; additional Asian language skills are an advantage
