Inland Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an Inland Analyst who will ensure the efficient and timely delivery of import and export containers through effective coordination with carriers, terminals, and transport providers. You will play a key role in optimizing inland logistics operations, reducing positioning and storage costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction. #LI-MP1

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely dispatch of import/export containers according to service requirements.
• Coordinate daily container movements and report service disruptions or operational challenges.
• Collaborate with truckers, shipping lines, and terminal teams to secure smooth container flows.
• Track and report idle containers, identify potential demurrage, and take proactive actions to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate system records and support data integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inland logistics processes.
• Implement cost-saving methods for intermodal operations, equipment recovery, and maintenance.
• Support planning and allocation of trucking resources across ports (e.g., Caldera, Limón) to meet operational needs.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• At least 3 years in inland logistics, preferably with shipping lines, freight forwarders, or transport companies.
• Strong knowledge of port operations, shipping lines, and inland transportation planning.
• Proven experience coordinating with transporters and managing container flows across multiple ports.
• Intermediate Excel (data analysis, forecasting, operational planning).
• Familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate is desirable.
• Intermediate English required; conversational fluency is a plus.
