Team / Opportunity
At Maersk, we are transforming to become the global integrator of container logistics- connecting and simplifying our customers’ supply chains. The Technology Group is critical to realising the company strategy. We plan on significantly enhancing our Technology capabilities and are implementing a new technology architecture led through Platform Operating Model. The Cloud Engineering Unit within the Technology Group is accountable for end to end delivery of Service Reliability, Availability, Performance, Cost and Fit for Purpose solutions there by enabling the Platform Operating Model.

Who we are looking for

· Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Engineering

· Experience in infrastructure support experience at scale

· Experience with diverse operational systems both on perm (virtual and physical) and in Cloud (Azure and Google)

· Experience in GCP/GCVE

· Certification in GCP is a plus

· Experience in system performance analysis, patching, tuning, and troubleshooting experience including network, system, and hardware optimisation for low latency.

· Monitoring system performance and capacity, and providing status reports.

· Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to infrastructure engineering and operations.

· Performing data backup, disaster recovery backup, and data migration.

· Ensuring that software is regularly updated, security patches are applied, and potential vulnerabilities are addressed.

· Recommending infrastructure upgrades for optimal performance to the management.

· Develop and implement solutions using Python (or other programming language), CLI, PowerShell, GPOs

· Experience with High Availability, clustering, failover, and load balancing

· Red Hat and/or Microsoft Windows Server certification is a plus

· Excellent communication skills, solid work ethic, and a strong desire to deliver automations of recurring activities.

· Knowledge of programming languages, operating system principles, networking, and software development best practices.

· Passionate about learning new tools, languages, philosophies, and workflows
