HSSE Site Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

To manage day to day HSSE activities in collaboration with location operations management, responsible for guidance, instructions and feedback on HSSE and to support implementation of HSSE initiatives, projects and any legal and regulatory requirements and company policies as relate to HSSE. They are a representative of the S&R team to manage unsafe activities and challenge employees to work in a safe manner at all times, and to support management to investigate all incidents and accidents that occur within their operational location. This position is responsible to offer recommendations to improve Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Transport (HSSE), and Business Continuity Management (BCM). Conducting observations, inspections and audits across the functional pillars of S&R as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day to day HSSE activities
• Support operations to ensure global, regional and area S&R, Incident Management & Business Continuity Management requirements are implemented in a timely manner to incorporate local country legal & regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all locations have a documented risk profile and corresponding risk assessments, identifying critical controls are identified and mitigated as low as reasonably possible (ALARP).
• Create and facilitate site improvement plans that should incorporate all S&R, IM & BCM actions identified through any audit, inspections means. This is co-created in conjunction with site senior management and support from HSSE Business Partner where required.
• Facilitate HSSE, IM & BCM requirements of contractors, visitors, vendors and all 3rd parties to ensure Maersk policies and procedure compliance
• Escalate all incident & accident events to Country & Area HSSE within appropriate timelines
• Enforcing policies to establish a culture for HSSE
• Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk controls and adherence to local laws
• Conduct training and presentations for HSSE matters and accident prevention
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
• Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
• Perform HSSE audits & inspections

Critical Competencies

• At least 02 years’ proven experience at similar role(s) in HSSE, logistics industry experience is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of relevant safety guidelines and practices
• CTPAT/TAPA certified is plus, ISO 45001/14001/9001, OHS trainer certificates are plus
• Vendor management, stakeholder management skill
• Excellent communication and advisory skills
• Language proficiency: Native Vietnamese level, Intermediate English level
• Diligent with an analytical mind
• Training and delivery group presentation competency
