The role of GCA Head of LCL&ECL Product offers great opportunity: to grow LCL & E-com Logistics profitably and sustainably, through continual sharpened product capability and at high customer satisfaction within Greater China Area.

Key Responsibilities:

LCL Part:

Lead area LCL product family transformation

  • Responsible for area LCL P&L and deliver the target
  • Lead and drive area LCL product family roadmap and to actively engage with CEN and regional LCL community
  • Be responsible for Area Business Plan success and to actively contribute to APA L&S strategy
  • Assure the accomplishment of new product onboarding, proactive support end-to-end issue resolution at customer satisfaction
  • Continual drive for additional business opportunities, and responsible to deliver on growth and bottom line
  • Develop, engage and motive people, empower team to alternate viable solutions and actively resolve customers’ pain points within stipulated timeframe through product capability building up

Drive area LCL product family growth

  • Collect and analyze market intelligence
  • Target setting for LCL growth
  • Area LCL product Strategy and Direction Setting
  • Define growth/segmentation opportunities
  • Provide input for LCL tender preparation
  • Support commercial teams and provide training and coaching on intermodal products

Develop area LCL product and pricing

  • Define Local Value proposition and Differentiators for LCL product family
  • Develop new products with continual sharpened capabilities
  • Set tariffs according to pricing authority
  • Optimize cargo portfolio and corridor mix
  • Performance manages LCL in the area

ECL Part:

Responsible for area ECL P&L and deliver the target:

  • Accountable for area ECL product budget and rolling forecast
  • Responsible for the area ECL P&L
  • Grow top line and manage cost to ensure the budget in GP and EBIT are delivered

Build Cross-board ECL product development plan and driver its growth:

  • Accountable for the product development in the area, including “what to offer”, product roadmap, capability building, and etc.
  • Set and refresh the right product strategy based on the market needs and own capabilities
  • Execute and deliver the development plan

Build and grow ECL product capabilities in the Greater China Area:

  • Design ECL product based on the market/customers’ needs and on the insights on the market trend
  • Determinate right product offerings to respond to market and clients’ demand
  • Figure out the capabilities required to fulfil customers’ demand and understand the gaps to fill
  • Build and grow the capabilities always in line with the market needs

Grow and effectively manage ECL sales pipeline:

  • Ensure sufficient involvement with Sales team to effectively manage pipeline and to improve the win rate
  • engage Sales, Delivery and Solution resources to facilitate the pursuit/tendering process
  • Review key closed lost opportunities with Sales for lessons and learning

Measurement / success criteria of the position:

  • Financial measurement on GP (gross profit) and EBIT
  • Business growth in term of revenue and volume
  • Capability building in term of product offerings, cost competitiveness, and network, etc.
  • Service level and customer satisfaction
  • Team building and development
