Job Description

Area Head of LCL

The Area Head of LCL will translate regional product strategy into actionable business plan and drive execution in the respective area. Lead and manage LCL&CRM products to achieve product growth ambition and ensure customer satisfaction. Directly responsible for the area PnL result of LCL & CRM and ensure profitable growth for each. Continuously enhance product competitiveness by optimizing product portfolio in the area. Act as member of regional product leadership team and contribute to product growth plan. Build motivated and engaged product organization in the area.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and Execute Growth Strategy in the Respective Area

  • Develop and execute area business plans to deliver the growth target
  • Promote and elaborate product value propositions to the commercial team and customers
  • Guide product positioning in the area to meet customers’ needs
  • Drive price‑setting strategy in the area to achieve growth on target customer segments
  • Achieve sales pipeline performance on the product.

Product Management and Development

  • Be accountable and responsible for product P&L in the area
  • Drive product performance management across areas in the area
  • Govern and control local variable costs (CFS, LTL, etc.) in the area
  • Govern and control cost‑to‑serve (direct fixed and variable SG&A)

Drive Quality and Operational Excellence

  • Drive and safeguard service quality by meeting service standards and customer commitments
  • Ensure operational excellence to maintain file‑handling accuracy
  • Drive financial reporting hygiene on the product’s P&L in the area

Drive Digitalization and Automation

  • Execute product digitalization plans in the area to enable scalable growth
  • Drive automation programs to improve productivity
  • Drive change management to implement new ways of working enabled by digitalization and automation

Team Management and People Development

  • Lead and develop the product team in the area to deliver targets while keeping the team motivated and engaged
  • Drive people performance management, talent development, and organizational development

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of freight forwarding experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Business is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the LCL product and the local market.
  • Strong team leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer focused with excellent attention to detail and drive to serve customers.
  • Ability to identify Customer pain points using qualitative and quantitate data.
  • Strong P&L experience, with a strong understanding of drivers.
  • Strategic mindset and strong execution skills.
