About the Role

Head of FP&A, Performance Management, and Business Finance
This is a senior leadership role reporting to the CFO and part of both the Finance and COO Leadership Teams. The role is based in The Hague and offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial strategy and performance of APM Terminals. You will lead a global team and be responsible for delivering strategic insights, driving performance management, and supporting business decision-making through robust financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Deliver high-quality management reporting and performance updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial performance, provide actionable insights, and lead forecasting cycles.
  • Develop a 5-year business plan aligned with strategic and investment goals.
  • Ensure transformation programs are backed by solid, testable benefit cases.

Performance Management

  • Design and execute a performance management cycle across HQ, regions, and terminals.
  • Lead CEO debriefs, ensuring alignment on performance gaps and corrective actions.
  • Govern scorecard and target-setting processes aligned with strategic goals.
  • Support strategy execution through the Policy Deployment process.

Business Finance

  • Lead a team of 4 Finance Business Partners (FBPs) supporting key functional areas.
  • Act as the primary finance partner in the COO leadership team.
  • Coordinate with Investment Finance and Value Realization teams.

Finance Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of 19 finance professionals across The Hague and India.
  • Provide tools, training, and guidance to regional and terminal finance teams.
  • Enhance financial acumen across the organization through training programs like Mirai.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8–15 years in Finance, Strategy, or Management Consulting, with several years in leadership roles.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
    • Proven track record of driving results and leading teams.
    • Resilience under pressure and ability to manage peak workloads.
    • Interest in data science and experience with tools like PowerBI.
  • Additional: Experience with ERP systems or BI tools (e.g., OneStream) is a plus.
