Key accountabilities and responsibilities
- Driving GCA Air strategy & initiatives in PRN area.
- Responsible for overall operation management in PRN area.
- Establish operations that deliver industry leading service standards that facilitate market leadership in target sectors.
- Enable and facilitate the provision of services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Optimize the utilization of business assets and human resources in accordance with the logistics business strategy and local business environment
- Implement KPI to monitor productivity of operation staff.
- Collaborate effectively with all relevant internal and external parties for the best interests of GCA Air business.
- Ensure Gateway to execute the orders from GCA Air Corp
- Responsible for budget on tonnage & volume through effective implementation and management.
- Provide leadership and management of the logistics team in the cluster, driving strategy whilst ensuring high employee morale and motivation.
- Work with GCA Air stakeholders to agree business targets, discuss performance and understand local market dynamics.
- Represent and promote GCA Air with all necessary local trade associations, government and regulatory bodies.
- Lead the annual business planning and budgeting processes to develop aggressive but realistic plans that support the agreed strategies and targets.
- Ensure that appropriate operational KPI are employed across the business to provide timely and effective reporting to support day-to-day management of the business.
- Compliance to security standards
- Actively champion and promote improvements in the organization
- Work with Human Resources on talent management, people development and succession planning initiatives
We are looking for :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field/ Supply Chain and logistics experience will be preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in air freight forwarding
- The position requires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English and local language.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other technical software
- The ability to effectively use technology (laptop phone, etc.) to communicate and maintain productivity while travelling is required.
- Thorough understanding of air freight market drivers.
- Preferably a prior understanding and experience with North China market
- Strategic and innovative mind set
- Strong Operational Understanding
- Strong people management and interpersonal skills
