Job Description

About this role

Lead and manage a Freight Audit & Payment team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant audit and payment of freight invoices, while delivering a strong customer experience and driving operational stability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of FA&P agents, including performance management and day-to-day prioritization.

  • Oversee end-to-end freight audit and payment processes: invoice validation, dispute resolution, approvals, and payment readiness.

  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and internal controls.

  • Monitor backlog and aged items, implementing routines to prevent operational issues.

  • Act as point of contact for customer escalations and operational performance discussions.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, OPR, Procurement, IT) and vendors to resolve issues.

  • Drive process standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manages employees day-to-day and sets priorities to ensure task completion.

Decision Making & Autonomy

  • Works independently within defined guidelines and policies.

  • Makes day-to-day people and operational decisions; escalates complex or high-risk issues as needed.


Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Freight Audit, Finance Operations, Logistics, or a related area.

  • Proven experience in people leadership or team coordination.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Customer-centric mindset with focus on quality, compliance, and efficiency.

  • Solid technical knowledge.

  • Business understanding
