Finance Business Partner - CHB US

We are now looking for a Finance Business Partner, Customs House Brokerage (US Area) who provides insight and foresight that enables the US Area CHB Product team to consistently create value for our customers and shareholders. The key mission of the role is best in class business partnering with the US Area CHB Product Head and other Global, Region and Area FBPs. You will deliver timely and insightful analysis to support decision making and acting as co-driver for all growth, cost, cash conversion and investment initiatives. Founded in strong functional expertise, the Finance Business Partner, CHB (US Area) will provide guidance and support to the business while challenging business assumptions on a fact-based and data driven approach combined with excellent commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate weekly and monthly performance review, operation plan, rolling forecast, long term business plan and target setting processes. Connect different business areas (Product, Delivery, SG&A etc.) and act as an active sparring partner to US Area CHB Product Head.
  • Provide leadership and project management in developing and improving business performance reporting, measurement frameworks and effective financial analysis that will assist the management team in improving profitability, efficiency, and ability to achieve business objectives
  • Partner with the US Area Product Head to provide insights, derive action plans where improvement is required and drive growth agenda.
  • Keep close communication with the Global and other Regional CHB FBPs and actively participate in global functional Communities, ensure best practices are shared across areas and regions.
  • Provide input and review of investment cases, business process improvement and other projects and ensure compliance with local and global requirements.
  • Participate in monthly accounting close processes as required

Who we are looking for

  • Self-starter, results driven, able to manage tight deadlines and handle ad-hoc requests. Ability to work efficiently independently as well as in a cross-functional team.
  • Solid/extensive experience in FP&A, Investment Analysis or Business Partnering.
  • Relevant industry experience, focus on Customs Brokerage business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to adjust communication styles to the audience.
  • A proven track record of demonstrating real business acumen. Being able to navigate in a matrixed organization environment with a lot of stakeholders and influence without direct authority at various levels.
  • Good analytical skills and able to provide analysis and insights based on information available and reasonable assumptions.
  • Ability to simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes.
  • Team-oriented and passion for proactively collaborating with global colleagues across multiple functions and cultures.
  • High degree of change readiness and energy to be able to continuously adjust to dynamic changes in our business environment.
  • Core working hours are Eastern Standard Time zone

Qualifications & Skills

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum 7+ years in relevant work experience – Analysis and Financial reporting
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly skilled in SAP and PowerBI.
  • Proficient in Cube
  • Proficient in CargoWise
  • Proficient in Sage INTACCT

Benefits:

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
