About the Role

As an EU Planning Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting customers throughout their journey within the Maersk ecosystem, with a particular focus on EU and UK planning, import coordination, and ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient cargo flows.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Managing customer communication channels

  • Handling cases and customer queries

  • Supporting onboarding and relationship management

  • Coordination of EU/UK planning and import processes

  • Managing contracts, disputes, and documentation

  • And more

EU/UK planning and import experience is highly desirable, as you’ll be supporting time‑critical, cross‑border supply chain operations.

This is a fully on-site position at East Midlands Gateway, working Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a first-class customer experience in line with Maersk standards

  • Coordinate with third‑party suppliers and Maersk offices globally

  • Provide accurate EU/UK import and planning support

  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency

  • Process documentation accurately and on time

  • Produce internal/external reports, including KPI updates

  • Monitor supplier performance and highlight improvement areas

  • Build strong understanding of customer needs and support effective problem‑solving

  • Proactively identify supply chain challenges and propose solutions

  • Attend customer and internal meetings as needed

  • Participate in SCM project teams

  • Support ad-hoc tasks and projects

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine passion for customer service and operational excellence

  • EU/UK planning and import knowledge (highly desirable)

  • Previous logistics experience (advantageous)

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Excellent communication skills and confident phone manner

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • A proactive mindset and adaptability in a changing environment
