Job Description

As a Data Management Specialist focused on Data Solutions, you’ll drive the development of products that enable our stakeholders and customer access to data that fulfills their operational, reporting and analytical needs.

In a typical day in this role, you’ll:

  • Explore, collect, and consolidate People and Organisational data requirements, translating them into data solutions.

  • Develop and/or support the development of the data solutions, documenting the solution and ensuring user adoption.

  • Participate in backlog refinement meetings together with the POINT Product Owner, discussing the requirements with stakeholders from the People Data & Analytics team and help prioritize the developments.

  • Participate in sprint planning meetings, helping translate the business requirements into clear technical requirements.

  • Proactively review the People data landscape, providing feedback for development and improvement of data solutions.

  • Liaise closely with the POINT engineering team to solution, develop, test, and oversee the delivery of the technical solutions.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Be inquisitive, analytical, and curious, eager to get to the bottom of issues and identify root causes.

In addition to above, technical skills are required on:

  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools and languages, such as SQL, Python, or R.

  • Experience with data delivery and analytics processing engines/platforms, such as Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Microsoft Fabric.

  • Experience with data integration and ETL processes.

  • Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools, such as Power BI.

Now, if you have the following skills, you are ahead of the game:

  • Experience with AI/ML tools and methodologies.

  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence, or other DevOps and documentation tools.

  • Knowledge of data privacy and protection regulations, such as GDPR or CCPA.

  • Knowledge of cloud data computing practices and solutions, specially Microsoft Azure.

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.
