Job Description

Are you an experienced communications professional looking for a dynamic role working with teams across the company?

Do you have excellent stakeholder management skills and enjoy working in fast-paced, complex environments?

Then this role might be the one for you...

The Role

In the Customer Communication Manager role, you’ll be driving content creation, writing articles, executing value-adding communications materials in close collaboration with stakeholders and team colleagues. Operational communication is central to this role: you will lead the timely delivery of customer advisories and crisis communications during disruptions, ensuring customers receive clear, accurate information exactly when they need it most.

As a communication professional, you will help drive our customer-centric approach by managing content activation and various communication projects. In this role, you will also produce engaging, multimedia content for the Maersk Logistics Insights area of our website, which equips customers with information on trends within logistics and global supply chains. You will assist on our podcast and our monthly customer deep dives, and more.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Communication Manager, our customers are your target audience. You will be responsible for planning, leading, writing, implementing, and evaluating customer-facing communications and content for different scenarios – from planned, value-adding content to time-critical advisories and crisis communications. You will be a content creator and manager. Your goal will be to drive customer engagement through strategic, value-adding, and operational communication; operational and crisis communications carry particular weight in this role, as clear, accurate, fast communication in these moments is essential to protecting customer trust. To do this, you will work closely with global and regional colleagues including Marketing, Corporate Communications, Legal, Sales, and Customer Experience.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, international environment, working with different teams and senior stakeholders - this position is perfect for you.

To perform this job successfully, you should have the ability to:

  • Manage and develop compelling multimedia content that engages our customers and delivers value to them, such as – articles, case studies, podcasts, presentations, videos, etc.
  • Lead and deliver operational communications, including customer advisories and crisis communications, during disruptions – working calmly, quickly, and accurately under pressure, as these moments are critical to protecting customer trust and Maersk's reputation.
  • Create and execute solid, engaging communication plans incorporating multiple channels. Successfully work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, balancing competing needs and priorities.
  • Listen to and understand our customers and how to cater to their communication needs through outreach and research within and beyond Maersk.
  • Ensure communications activities align with Maersk’s priorities and strategy.

You:

  • Write and speak English fluently.
  • Have 5-7 years of experience in similar communication positions, particularly in developing, overseeing, and executing successful content pieces to deadlines.
  • Have solid content creation skills.
  • Understand how to research and analyze information.
  • Are a resilient team player while also being a self-starter, with a strong work ethic and the ability to stay composed, accurate, and professional under tight deadlines.
  • Thrive in a complex, international environment, and write with clarity and precision – concise, professional communication is essential, especially when speed and accuracy matter most.
  • Embody the Maersk values in everything you do, particularly Constant Care, Humbleness and Uprightness.
