Cold Chain Sales Rep

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop Sales and Business Strategy

•Develop an effective vertical strategy to deliver on the Ocean and Logistics targets.

•Seen as Vertical leader and expertise in the Area within Maersk brands and provides guidance and support to commercial teams on potential opportunities from other Brands within same Vertical.

Deliver as per Area Budget

•Drive own portfolio of assigned customers and targets by securing new business based on identified customers’ needs.

•Develops Sales Pipeline for Ocean and Logistics opportunities, with proper filing of events and business opportunities in the system.

•Lead and set direction for the sales executives within your team according to budget – both on delivering ocean volume and logistics GP.

•Develop own vertical sales skills as well as within your team.

Manage stakeholder across the area, region and global functions

•Collaborates with other Area Vertical leads in the Latin America Region to secure new business within the region.

•Oversees regional implementation of the global vertical strategy differentiating the product offering in the market.

•Collaborates with Marketing, Sales Manager, Global Vertical Lead and Product Teams to design solutions for service offering for the vertical customers assigned.

Objectives:

  • Deliver revenue and gross profit.

  • Build a strong sales pipeline.

  • Develop structured sales plans and pursuit plans for target customers.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

  • Grow the share of wallet of existing Maersk customers.

  • Building a high-performance team.

  • Deliver strong sales performance management through SalesForce.

  • Follow-up on implementation of new accounts jointly with the Sales Owner/Product, ensuring that no business is lost in implementation.

  • Work with overseas offices on large nominated business opportunities.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • This position is available for candidates located in San Pedro Sula-Honduras or Managua-Nicaragua.

  • Availability to commute to Chinandega and Choluteca once a month is prefered.

  • Bachelor degree in Economic / Foreign Trade/ Maritime University (Desirable)

  • Minimum of 5 years of logistics experience, including at least 3 years in the cold chain reefer sales industry (Desirable).

  • Proven Knowledge and experience in Imports and Exports, Ocean and Air Freight logistics (Required).

  • Proficient in both spoken and written English (Required).

  • Logistics financial acumen.

  • Proven track record in assessing customer needs, developing and selling logistics solutions.

  • Negotiation skills by adopting value selling approach.

  • Sales performance management skills.

  • Stakeholder Management and Communication skills.

  • Organizational and Time management skills.

  • Leadership Skills.

  • Initiative, persuasive and proactive.

  • Customer focused, achievement driven, teamwork and collaboration.

  • Strong communication and negotiation, especially presentation skills.
