ATR Manager, Aarhus

The role of ATR Manager / Finance Controller at Martin Bencher is a vital position as part of the regional ATR structure. This role independently handles the finance and accounting of an area covering all Martin Bencher Activities.

This temporary position is a maternity cover for the period of about 1 year.


Specific responsibilities:

  • Timely closure of books of accounts and reporting of financials.

  • Support teams in Global Service Centres

  • Assist and prepare Gollum related documentation

  • Cargo Wise errors review, updates in the system etc - support for Platform and GSC

  • Direct debit batch - manual posting in case mix AP&AR posting - support due to security rights in CW

  • Prepare monthly management reports

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting audits and championing strong accounting practices across assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational integrity. You will provide valuable analytical insights to senior Finance leadership, helping guide strategic decision-making and business performance.

Collaboration is at the heart of this position. You will work closely with cross-functional and interdependent teams to drive improvements across the Account-to-Report (ATR) process, contributing to efficiency, transparency, and stronger financial outcomes.

We are seeking someone who thinks beyond routine processes—someone who brings a mindset focused on business value realization and optimization. You will proactively identify performance or process gaps, recommend improvements, and partner with key stakeholders to implement meaningful change.

A strong interest in automation and digital transformation is essential. You will help identify and support automated solutions aligned with the ATR transformation roadmap, ensuring the team clearly understands and effectively executes these initiatives.

Additionally, you will represent your area and collaborate with other Global Service Center (GSC) teams—including Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Headquarters—helping strengthen alignment, communication, and operational success across the organization.

Who we are looking for

  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills, clear, direct and focused communication at multiple organization levels.

  • Analytical mindset with strong root cause analysis & problem-solving skills

  • Self Driven, Result oriented and able to work under pressure

  • Manage and act proactively in complex situations

  • Strong focus on quality

  • Open to change and ability to overcome obstacles with out of box thinking

  • Degree in Accounting/Audit/Finance or equivalent with understanding of GAAP and IFRS guidelines. Professional qualification is a must.

  • 8 to 12 years of prior experience in accounting & reporting

  • Microsoft office proficiency (advanced excel is a must)

  • SAP experience

  • Experience in delivering results through others (both direct & indirect report)

  • Experience in management reporting, financial controlling and analytical work
