Area Product Manager, Cold Chain / Reefer – South East Asia

We are currently seeking an Area Product Manager for Cold Chain / Reefer to lead the growth and development of our Cold Chain Logistics (CCL) business in South East Asia. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing volume, revenue, and profitability, driving strategic product development, managing the P&L, and serving as the regional expert for CCL. You will also lead the commercial agenda to ensure long-term, sustainable growth across our cold chain offerings.

Key responsibilities

Product Strategy & Development

• Translate global and regional CCL strategies into actionable area-level plans.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies in compliance with global governance.
• Drive local innovation and tailor product offerings to meet market needs.
• Own the development and performance of CCL products, including corridor and feature enhancements.
• Establish and monitor area product targets in collaboration with regional and area leadership.

Commercial Enablement

• Support sales teams with value proposition development, pipeline evaluation, and customer targeting.
• Act as a subject matter expert in large-scale pursuits and customer engagements.
• Collaborate with procurement to establish contracts with key third-party vendors (e.g., trucking, rail, air).
• Ensure service delivery meets Maersk standards through alignment with L&S functions and SLAs.

Financial Management

• Manage product P&L and ensure achievement of budgeted targets.
• Work with the Regional Head of CCL APA to review forecasts and financial performance.
• Build business cases for asset investments and ensure realization of projected benefits.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Build and lead a high-performing team with strong logistics and product expertise.
• Foster collaboration with Ocean and other L&S product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Share best practices across regional and global teams to drive continuous improvement.

We’re looking for

• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics or ocean freight, with at least 3–5 years in cold chain/reefer logistics.
• Proven track record in product development and P&L management in a regional context.
• Strong commercial acumen and market knowledge, with direct client-facing experience.
• Strategic thinker with excellent execution and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify customer pain points using both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Customer-centric mindset with a keen eye for detail and service excellence.

This role is open to candidates residing in Jakarta, Indonesia or Manila, Philippines and will be hired under local employment terms in either country.
