As a Communications Manager at LI, you will will lead the execution of our internal communications strategy, ensuring colleagues are informed, connected, and engaged through clear and timely messaging.
This role involves a creative mix of responsibilities, including producing monthly newsletters, organising internal events and workshops, creating engaging communications materials, and collaborating with senior leadership to share key organisational updates across the business.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include
- Developing an annual Internal Communications strategy to align with the Business Plan, and lead the delivery of this strategy, including exploring new channels and ways of working, to drive employee engagement and sense of belonging.
- Creating high quality, audience focused content in varying formats to suit relevant comms channels – includes blog writing, newsletters and formal updates.
- Managing the planning and delivery of internal events, team workshops and virtual company-wide meetings.
- Supporting organisational changes with a strategic approach by promoting transparency and fostering effective engagement from employees.
- Being the main point of contact for Senior Leadership and departmental leads, helping them to shape their communication plans into clear, simple and engaging content.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior leaders, including the Managing Director, to support business updates.
- Working closely with People Services to develop new initiatives and promote organisational values from a culture perspective.
- Monitoring and evaluating internal communications activity, using insights to continuously improve engagement and effectiveness.
- Fostering a positive and proactive work ethic to ensure the right groups of people are informed about business updates in a timely manner.
- Supporting the Comms team with external communications activity, events and stakeholder engagement as required.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with the following
- Significant experience working in a communications role, supporting organisational change and delivering successful engagement initiatives.
- Proven ability in planning, with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to transfer complex information into clear, precise and easy to read content.
- Experience of organising and delivering events and workshops.
- Confident in engaging with senior management and influencing decisions.
- Able to provide visible leadership and strategic communications advice.
- Experience managing relationships with external suppliers and contractors.
- Enthusiasm to motivate and inspire colleagues to engage with internal communications initiatives.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft tools, including SharePoint, Office 365, and MS Teams
- Proficiency in using Canva to create engaging content
- Experience working with CRM systems and managing multiple distribution lists

- Relevant qualification(s) in Communications, PR, or Marketing, supported by significant professional experience
