The Role

The Talent Planner will be instrumental in ensuring that we have the right talent in the right place and at the right time. The role will be fundamental to ensuring timely customer placements and building consultant mobility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales and attraction team to provide accurate recommendations to match consultants to open or upcoming opportunities based on skills, availability and cultural fit

  • Work closely with the Colleague Experience team to maintain an accurate record of consultant training, current skills ability and areas of interest.

  • Own the L&D tracking in Leighton and be responsible for identifying skills gaps in our consultant group and aligned with our future opportunity pipeline

  • Own our workforce plan, ensuring that we are aligned with future opportunities, skills requirements and customer knowledge

  • Lead on our relationship with delivery partners i.e. third party suppliers for consultant/skills capabilities. Be responsible for accurate identification of the right consultants for the right opportunities and ensure issues or performance concerns are escalated.

  • Provide accurate reporting on a weekly and monthly basis

  • Operate as a positive and engaged member of the Talent team with a focus on high quality services to internal and external teams and partners

  • Work with the Head of Talent and COO on future planning to build services and capability to meet Leighton’s strategic goals

  • Build process and governance structures in relation to L&D and talent mobility

Key Skills and Abilities

  • An understanding of the roles and skills required in the delivery of technical/digital projects

  • Proven experience in a consulting or agency environment

  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing the best possible services to both internal and external customers

  • The ability to create effective and efficient planning processes that meet the needs of the business

  • Understanding of how to engage and manage business stakeholders to provide the right information at the right time and in the right formal

  • Experience of learning and development models/approaches

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Passion for delivering an outstanding colleague and customer experience
