Are you an AWS expert passionate about serverless architectures, cloud-native development, and leading high-impact software delivery projects?

We are looking for an AWS Principal Engineer to architect, develop, and optimise cloud-native solutions while mentoring engineering teams and driving AWS best practices. This role focuses on AWS CDK, Terraform, TypeScript, and serverless technologies, ensuring scalable, efficient, and secure software delivery.

Role Overview

As an AWS Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in designing serverless applications, automating cloud infrastructure, and mentoring teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading software delivery projects, enforcing best practices, and ensuring our cloud-native solutions are optimized for performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect & Build AWS Cloud Solutions – Design and implement serverless, cloud-native applications using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK and Terraform to ensure automated, scalable deployments.
  • Software Engineering & Delivery – Write and review high-quality code in TypeScript, focusing on scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship – Guide engineering teams in AWS best practices, serverless-first development, and modern cloud architectures.
  • DevOps & CI/CD Automation – Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring solutions to enhance development efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance – Ensure IAM, encryption, and networking best practices are enforced for compliance and security.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to align cloud solutions with business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

An AWS-focused Principal Engineer with:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in AWS serverless architectures and cloud-native application development.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS CDK, Terraform, and TypeScript for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong proficiency with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
  • Proven leadership experience in software delivery and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevOps automation, and cloud security best practices.
  • A problem-solving mindset and a passion for innovation in cloud computing.
