Job Description

At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.

Join EY and help to build a better working world.

Senior Consultant, HR Transformation, Total Workforce Management

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. We’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better.

EY’s people in more than 150 countries are committed to operating with integrity, quality, and professionalism in the provision of technology transformation advisory services. We strive to help all our people achieve their professional and personal goals through an inclusive environment that values everyone's contributions, appreciates diversity of thought, fosters growth, and provides continuous opportunities for development.

Our People Consulting professionals assist clients in successfully managing and sustaining people, process and technology transformation. This includes workforce management and payroll transformation, HR technology assessments, process design, operating model development, technology implementation and post-implementation optimisation. We help clients address complex workforce challenges by improving workforce effectiveness, employee experience and business performance through leading workforce solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our rapidly growing Total Workforce Management practice.

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • A related bachelor's degree.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of consulting, workforce management, payroll or HR technology experience.
  • Experience supporting workforce management, payroll or HR technology implementation projects.
  • Experience working with clients on solution assessments, process improvement opportunities and transformation recommendations.
  • Experience supporting business process design, process documentation and operational improvements.
  • Experience participating in client workshops, requirements gathering, user story development, testing activities and deployment support.
  • An understanding of the end-to-end implementation lifecycle.
  • Experience contributing to implementation roadmaps, project reporting, risk mitigation and governance activities.
  • Ability to work through complex business problems with limited information and develop practical, evidence-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of operating and service delivery models.
  • Flexibility and ability to travel when required to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of workforce management, payroll and workforce technology transformation concepts, applying this knowledge to deliver specific project workstreams and client deliverables.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities and support the design of future-state workforce management and payroll solutions.
  • Facilitate client workshops, process design sessions and working meetings, building consensus across stakeholders and translating business requirements into practical recommendations.
  • Lead the development of high-quality project deliverables including process maps, requirements documentation, solution recommendations, testing artefacts, implementation plans and client presentations.
  • Support solution design, configuration validation, testing and deployment activities, providing functional expertise and guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Analyse workforce and operational challenges, using structured problem-solving and analytical techniques to develop practical, evidence-based recommendations for clients.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with client stakeholders, becoming a trusted day-to-day advisor and ensuring a high standard of client service.
  • Proactively identify project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating appropriately and contributing to their resolution.
  • Contribute to the development of EY methodologies, thought leadership, market insights and proposal materials that support the growth of the Total Workforce Management practice.
  • Support the coaching and development of junior team members through knowledge sharing, mentoring and on-the-job guidance.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of workforce management, payroll, workforce technology and future-of-work trends, bringing innovative ideas and insights to client engagements.

What we look for

We’re interested in strong team players who support their colleagues in reaching their goals while also considering their own workload and development. If you have the confidence to contribute ideas and influence discussions that impact major organisations, this role is for you. Specifically, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other business productivity tools.
  • Problem-solving skills with demonstrated curiosity to understand how and why a problem or issue exists.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and finding creative approaches to developing solutions.
  • Business analytical skills – make observations, challenge thoughts and anticipate client and management needs or expectations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, knowing when to lead and when to support others.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and an understanding of how to adapt communication styles for different audiences.
  • High levels of motivation, curiosity and a self-starting attitude.
  • Professional credibility, resilience and a passion for helping clients solve complex workforce challenges.
