Job Description

The Role

As Programme Manager, Commercial Incentives, you will be responsible for managing Deliveroo’s approach to commercial incentives. You will work with our local markets to define commercial teams’ KPIs and incentive plans that align with Deliveroo’s business and financial objectives. You will support local market leadership, ensuring schemes are understood and embedded in their day to day operations. You will be responsible for managing the schemes on an ongoing basis, including the execution of schemes and performance tracking.

You will be part of the wider Commercial Operations team who enable our frontline commercial teams through commercial insight, learning and development, and change management in all markets.

What you’ll be responsible for

Owning the ongoing management of incentive schemes

  • Own the ongoing management and administration of incentive schemes. Work to design and implement workflows and tooling to streamline the management of incentives.

  • Lead the monthly and quarterly calculation of incentive plans (in collaboration with local leadership), managing exceptions, accuracy checks, and ensuring data quality and consistency across all schemes.

  • Build and document scalable processes to support local leaders with target setting.

  • Own commercial performance reporting to identify trends, diagnose issues, and highlight opportunities to improve incentive design.

  • Partner with the Product team to migrate incentive management from spreadsheets to new, engaging, and user-friendly systems.

Support the design of efficient and effective commercial incentive schemes

  • Act as a subject matter expert in the design of commercial incentive schemes, supporting the Commercial Incentives Manager in creating a globally centralised framework.

  • Partner with local commercial leaders as they define their incentive schemes, helping them assess trade-offs between different design options.

  • Conduct initial impact assessments of proposed schemes under various scenarios (e.g. total cost, payout distribution, and behavioural implications).

  • Support local commercial leaders to prepare their “go-to-market” for new incentive schemes such that they are clear and engaging for the incentive participants

Key Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, ensuring calculations are accurate so that Commercial teams are paid correctly and on time.

  • Data Analytics: Skilled in analysing and interpreting data using BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau) and Microsoft Excel to derive insights and support decision-making.

  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage and progress multiple complex projects in parallel, coordinating across stakeholders, markets and functions.

  • Communication & Influence: Listens actively. Simplifies complex ideas and communicates clearly. Collaborates effectively across a wide range of teams and senior stakeholder groups.

  • Problem-solving & Strategic Thinking: Able to understand complex business context quickly, articulate tradeoffs, and recommend solutions. Understands the strategic implications of their work, is able to anticipate risks and suggest ways to mitigate.

  • Team Development and Community-Building: Is a team player who readily collaborates cross-functionally and can resolve areas of misalignment or conflict between teams. Finds opportunities to build a sense of community and coach more junior team members.
