Job Description

Head of Commercial Enablement & GTM (New Verticals)

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our New Verticals team (Grocery, Retail, and HOP) is the entrepreneurial engine of Deliveroo—tackling complex, real-time challenges to bring everything from daily essentials to high-end retail to our customers' doors. If you are a decisive leader who thrives in informal, fast-paced environments and enjoys turning high-level strategy into scalable action, this is the role for you.

We’re looking for a Head of Commercial Enablement & GTM to join our Strategy & Operations leadership. Reporting into the VP of New Verticals & Consumer, you will own a broad, high-impact remit spanning commercial performance, global launches, and the strategic tech partnerships that power our operational stack.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will lead a high-performing team of specialists to ensure our New Verticals business is set up to scale. Your role is the bridge between strategic vision and flawless execution.

  • Commercial Enablement: Empower our local commercial teams to outperform. You’ll design initiatives ranging from Joint Business Plans (JBPs) for our most strategic global partners to a world-class L&D agenda that unlocks team performance.

  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-profile launches. Whether it’s integrating Partner Loyalty programs, launching new Dark Store (HOP) sites, or rolling out features like "Basket Mix" (combining Grocery and Restaurant orders), you own the governance and execution.

  • Policy & Process Architecture: Define how the business grows. You will design and embed the frameworks that allow for efficient scale, such as Partner Onboarding Playbooks, segmentation frameworks, and restricted items policies.

  • Third-Party Tech Strategy: Own the roadmap for our third-party technology ecosystem. You will lead commercial relationships and contract negotiations with middleware providers, catalogue tools, and picking software/hardware partners to ensure they integrate seamlessly into our product stack.

  • Senior Stakeholder Management: Provide clear visibility on program health to senior leadership, proactively unblocking teams to bring innovation to market at pace.

Qualities We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is a structured operator with a heavy commercial bias:

  • Decisive & Influential: You move from strategy to action quickly. You have the confidence to mobilize cross-functional teams and the seniority to influence executive stakeholders.

  • Commercial & Collaborative: You build trusted relationships across Product, Strategy, and Commercial teams, ensuring all initiatives deliver measurable business impact.

  • Highly Structured: You can run multiple complex workstreams in parallel, maintaining rigour and high standards without losing sight of the ultimate outcome.

Your Profile

  • Experience: 6–10 years in a commercially or operationally focused role, ideally within high-growth e-commerce, marketplaces, or logistics.

  • Execution Track Record: Proven ability to own complex initiatives from the "blank slide" strategy phase through to operational rollout.

  • Adaptability: You thrive in changing environments where priorities evolve and speed is a competitive advantage.

  • Ownership Mindset: You are a "builder" who is excited to continuously improve processes and scale a global business.
