Role Purpose

The main purpose of the role is to provide administration support to the Solar PV team within the Services & Solutions department. The role will primarily include support to the project team members, liaising with the QA (Quality Assurance) department and also with SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland), third party contractors and customers. The successful candidate should have an ability to work with different departments to support day-to-day tasks and reporting, along with the drive to engage with third party vendors and partner companies, as well as public sector organisations such as SEAI.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team to ensure the segment’s objectives are being met in line with the strategic plan.

Duties & Role Requirements

  • To promote the core Bord Gáis Energy Values by providing a friendly and professional service to our partner companies and other third parties
  • Oversee and track any project documentation ensuring all projects, grant applications, payments and certification are correctly processed and filed
  • Manage the processing of new vendors in a compliant, timely and professional manner
  • Contact customers and make arrangement for survey, delivery, installation and callout as required Liaise with the QA team to ensure all installation paperwork are in compliant and all documentation recorded
  • Prepare file submissions and ensure all files are complete and troubleshoot errors
  • Process payments to vendors and third parties
  • Providing support to the team, ensuring we uphold agreed SLAs to meet regulatory obligations and customer expectations
  • Support key project initiatives within Bord Gáis Energy and the Services & Solutions department to meet overall business objectives and annual targets
  • Responsibility for populating and maintaining Sharepoint documentation and file storage
  • Analysis and reporting on key metrics for the team to ensure delivery against KPI targets.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working within an energy or PV Solar related business is desired
  • Ability to analyse data and report in a structured manner to aid decision making
  • Ability to build structured reports from a diverse range of data inputs
  • Understanding of our target customers and the external marketplace
  • Ability to work fast under pressure at times of high workload and competing priorities
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work cross-functionally across the business
  • Experience with identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationship/interpersonal skills
