Within Group functions this role will support across a number of business units with accounting, financial controls, governance and financial integrity.

It is a key role to provide robust and accurate financial reporting of current and historical performance. Working within the business teams, facilitating interaction and knowledge transfer where required between the business teams and wider finance teams. It is a great opportunity for someone recently qualified or with a few exams left to complete, you will be able to build relationships across the different business units and with key stakeholders

Location - Windsor / Flexible home working

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support to Finance Managers, Financial Control on all financial, accounting and regulatory matters across Group functions
  • Support the production of reporting of current/historical activity across Group Functions including performance of all month end and post-month end accounting activities
  • Financial Control – Month end (eg PO engine review, accruals and corrections), half year and year end close and reporting, Balance Sheet recs
  • Support the twice yearly audit of Group functions and the annual preparation of SUPS where required
  • Support monthly Total cost of ownership process and FTE/Cost reporting
  • Support the Planning & Forecasting process eg templates, BPC, analytical commentary and presentation support
  • Adhoc Project support – eg development of Resource reporting
  • Undertake bespoke reporting and analysis as required
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business and Finance

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree Level Education or Equivalent; ACCA/CIMA Qualified/Finalist
  • Previous financial control experience
  • Track record of process improvement

Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving and reconciliations
  • Highly proficient at Excel, with a proven track record of designing, maintaining and updating spreadsheet-based reporting
  • Ability to build and deliver robust month-end reports and reconciliations - accurate, well set out and thorough. Any variances are understood and explained
  • Motivated by continuous improvement and delivering high quality outputs
  • Bright, articulate and keen to learn
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
