We are looking for an agile, enthusiastic, experienced individual to take responsibility for the billing operations and admin within CBS UK&I.

This role will provide administrative and operational support to the UK&I Credit Operations team within Financial Control. You will be working directly for the Credit Operations Manager, alongside a Credit Controller.

Location: Salford, Manchester with flexible home working

The day to day:

  • Create and process a high volume of complex, non-standard invoices
  • Interpret customer contracts and variations to determine invoicing structure and frequency
  • Calculate annual RPI increases for customer contracts
  • Update multiple systems to ensure accuracy of invoicing information
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements with detailed analysis
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Set up new customers, ensuring correct payment terms and VAT rates are applied
  • Document customer communications accurately
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties to support the wider CBS Finance team
  • Stand in for credit controller as needed

Experience:

  • Information Technology: experience working in a similar finance role is essential; Intermediate in financial ERP systems (preferred application JD Edwards); intermediate skills in MS Office suite (Excel essential)
  • Analytical: prior experience of interpreting customer contracts; able to prioritise multiple workstreams with a structured approach to solving complex problems
  • Administrative: excellent administrative abilities. Great attention to detail; methodical and thorough
  • Communication: effective communication and stakeholder relationship skills; ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders of all levels both verbally and in writing
