Job Description

About Carwow

We’re Carwow. The car-changing experts for life-changing moments. Whether buying, selling, or (car) window shopping, we aim to give people total confidence in their choice.

We kicked off our journey as the ultimate matchmaker for car reviews, helping everyone pick their perfect ride. But we soon realised this wasn’t the destination - it was just the first leg. Why stop there when we could also help them get a great price?

So we decided we wanted to revolutionise selling cars, just like we did with buying them. That's when we introduced our game-changing 'sell my car' product.

Today, our dedicated team of over 350 experts across the UK, Germany, Spain and Portugal look after over 12 million active users (and an ‘excellent’ Trustpilot rating).

And we’ve got plenty left in the tank.

Working here

So, what does Carwow look like under the hood?

We’re always driving forward, and our people love what they do and love working together. Our goal is to empower our employees to discover their passions, create common ground, and take control of their careers with confidence.

We regularly fine-tune our hiring process to ensure fairness and all Carwowers receive comprehensive DE&I training. Our Diversity Committees, led by our fantastic employees, fuel internal education, help out our local communities, and champion initiatives for our customers.

We’re also Flexa100 nominated and aim to be the go-to place for changing cars. We’re proud to say we’ve got an impressive employee average engagement score of 8.5/10!

Bonding as a team is important to us - whether we're rocking the Carwow Olympics worldwide, playing drag bingo for Pride Month, taking part in beach clean-ups or rallying on the Padel court, there’s always something to bring us together.

Fancy a life-changing career from the car-changing pros? We’d love you to join us on our journey.

About the team

At Carwow’s we help our customers to navigate all aspects of the car buying journey, and that also includes helping them to sell their existing car. Customers can list their cars on our site, and our network of trusted dealers, who are always looking for great cars, bid to buy them. Once a price is agreed, we help to make the hand the handover as smooth as possible. Not only do we want to have the best experience for car owners, but we also want to be the best place for our dealer partners to acquire stock. Sometimes it feels like we’re just getting started but we’ve already come a really long way, growing this part of our business by over 100% each year.

Online auctions like ours are still a relatively new way to sell a car or for a dealer to buy one, and so we’re at the forefront of changing an industry. Being part of the Sell My Car team means being part of a really dynamic and focused group who are passionate about navigating this new way of doing things and committed to getting it right - for customers and dealers. We’re changing our business almost daily and so we work together really collaboratively to understand what needs to be done and how we’re going to do it. We love solving problems and figuring out, every day ‘how to make it better’. And you can see the results of that approach in what our customers say about us on TrustPilot.

About the role

We’re looking for a talented Junior Account Manager to join our hugely successful team during the next phase of our growth. Successful candidates will play a fundamental role in driving platform engagement, client success and partner relations across a portfolio of dealer partners.

What you'll be doing

You will be the first touchpoint for dealers partners once their application to join our stock sourcing platform is approved.

  • Calling dealers to introduce them to our platform, understanding their intent to buy, their buying requirements and sentiment towards stock sourcing through us
  • Helping to remove barriers new dealers may face when joining our platform to ensure a smooth onboarding process
  • Managing and responding to any initial queries or questions dealers may have about how our platform works
  • Reporting to the wider business and key stakeholders on activation funnel statistics and taking ownership for ensuring the conversion in this area is excellent
  • You must at all times strive to act in the customers’ best interest, delivering honest, fair, and professional services.
  • Growing engagement and share of wallet from your portfolio of dealer partners by building strong relationships and demonstrating platform value
  • Become a credible source of knowledge on vehicle acquisition, how our platform fits in today's marketplace and how to position our product with your dealer partners
  • Remaining in regular contact with your dealer partners, predominantly via phone/video calls, but some travel to dealers will be necessary to ensure regular engagement

This list is not exhaustive however and this is a developmental role designed to develop the position holder into one of our exceptional Account Managers.

What you'll need

  • Strong communication skills are essential. Relationship building is a key part of this role
  • Consultative and creative approach to problem solving
  • Proactive and goal orientated; you won’t be micromanaged but you will need to work autonomously to impact your own results
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues is crucial. You will operate as a facilitator for our dealer partners and act as a link for the rest of our organisational structure- so the ability to translate information into client appropriate format is crucial
  • Confident in manipulating data in excel/gsheets and drawing relevant insights from which you can define relevant actions
  • Experience with Salesforce is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in the automotive space is a plus but not essential, we are more interested in the behaviours, mindset and approach of a candidate than category experience

What's in it for you

  • Hybrid working that works around you (currently two days in the office, three from home)
  • Competitive salary to fund that dream holiday to Bali
  • Share options - when we thrive, so do you!
  • Vitality Private Healthcare, for peace of mind
  • Monthly coaching sessions with Spill - our mental wellbeing partner
  • Enhanced holiday package, plus bank holidays
    • 28 days annual leave
    • 1 day for your wedding
    • 1 day off when you move house - because moving’s hard enough without work!
    • On your third year anniversary, you get 30 days of annual leave per year
    • On your tenth year anniversary, you get 35 days of annual leave per year
    • Option to buy 3 extra days of holiday per year
  • Work from abroad for a month (due to popular demand, this offer excludes the moon).
  • Inclusive parental, partner and shared parental leave, fertility treatment and pregnancy loss policies
  • The latest tech (Macbook or Surface) to power your gif-sending talents
  • Up to £500/€550 home office allowance for that massage chair you’ve been talking about
  • A generous learning and development budget to help you master your craft
  • Regular social events:, tech lunches, coffee with the exec sessions, book clubs, social events/anything else you pester us for
  • Refer a friend, get paid. Repeat for infinite money
  • Lunch & learns and Carwow Classrooms with expert speakers who are here for a free lunch
