Why this job matters

The Business Trials team are a vital part of the success of the BT Business unit as they are responsible for signing off all major product and solution launches. Poor product launches would have detrimental effects for any business but the importance of the team to BT cannot be understated as they support businesses in 180 countries.

You would be joining during an important transformational period for the Trials team, as we seek to trial in new Product areas – Solutions, Networking and Security – driving consistent quality to market across our product towers, whilst maintaining the right speed to market. This role operates in a new part of the team and requires a change agent mindset to embed long lasting success and continuous improvement in the way we trial and launch products & solutions.

This role would predominantly be supporting the Connectivity tower whose products include Broadband, IP VPN and IoT. The BT Group champion internal mobility so there is nothing stopping you from moving over to a different tower to further your experience. As your career progresses you would have the opportunity to take on responsibility for trialling larger products and/or product in new and unexplored areas.

As a Trials Professional you'll contribute to the trialling of new products and propositions we’re going to sell to our customers, helping to ensure a no surprise launch, to build a better business and deliver a brilliant customer experience. You will be a backbone ensuring integrity, consistency and quality across our Trials, and enabling the team to be a true centre of excellence for trial, through maintaining tooling and documentation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identifying assets and triallists required to support the defined trial scenarios.
  • Executing against agreed on- and off-boarding plans.
  • Performing Trial monitoring and analysis, ensuring that the customer experience we provide meets expectations.
  • Identifying any CX failure points and taking user feedback and presenting to the wider Business unit for any improvements or problem fixes.
  • Monitoring the performance of sales and service teams.
  • Working closely with internal and external trial customers.
  • Managing, maintaining, and optimising trial documentation, tools, and processes to ensure cross-team consistency and best practice.

Experience required

  • Experience with MS Office – in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience using these skills to present data to different stakeholders would be a massive plus.
  • Experience in a customer facing role, being empathetic to user challenges.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, alongside great attention to detail.
  • Naturally collaborative, you would be working as part of a 20+ person trials team and would have exposure to stakeholders across various other teams and levels.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Documentation management.
  • Ideally some exposure to project management/ planning.
  • Familiar working with Business products or customer segments.
  • Issue tracking & root cause analysis.
  • Ideally a member of a relevant professional body e.g. MSP, APMP or BT PPM qualified.
