About the role

This role is a generalist transformation position specialising in change. The primary responsibility
involves working with different teams and stakeholders to take business problems that are ambiguous and bring clarity through fact-finding, data gathering, conversations, and surveys.

Following discovery work, the role creates actionable plans for execution. You will work within the team that has responsibility around the Emergency Services Network and key pillars, including
mission-critical mindset initiatives with police, fire, and ambulance services in addition to projects relating to culture, hub and spoke models, and AI adoption.

The role contributes to BT Group's broader transformation objectives by helping the organisation navigate complex, ambiguous business challenges and drive the adoption of new operating models.

You will be part of a small but friendly and supportive team who drive mission critical service readiness and manage cultural change and supporting strategic initiatives.


This role is based in London and our hybrid working model means you are expected to be in the office 3 days per week.

What you’ll be doing

• Engaging with stakeholders across networks to understand business problems and context;
• conducting fact-finding, data gathering, surveys, and interviews to clarify ambiguous challenges;
• Identifying key stakeholders and their perspectives; creating actionable plans and roadmaps for execution; presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders; supporting implementation of transformation initiatives; adapting to varying work streams ranging from 18 months to 3 months in duration.
• Working with Working with the Unit/Project stakeholders to develop a customised and scaled change management plan that maximises employee adoption and usage.
• Work collaboratively across teams to ensure necessary sponsorship and commitment.
• Work cross-functionally to execute the change plan and track success of change initiatives and timely delivery of value, recognising when to pivot and change course if results are not being realised.
• Apply proven change frameworks such as Prosci
• Carry out stakeholder mapping and impact assessments as part of developing a bespoke change approach to the project.
• Deliver transformation communications and storytelling.
• Lead in-project engagement initiatives through change champions forums.
• Identify and remove obstacles to deliver transformation objectives, using escalation paths where necessary.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • A background in Transformation
  • A change or process/Lean background
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills / Stakeholder Management

Desirable Skills / Experience

We are looking for someone with a background in Transformation / Change Management and ideally culture engagement experience.

Required skills include:

Comfort with ambiguity
Ability to connect disparate information and see patterns
Self-starter and ownership mentality
